Corporate actions
A corporate action is an event that brings material change to a company that could affect the value of its stock. Examples of corporate actions are dividends, splits, mergers, or acquisitions, among others.
Upcoming dividends and stock splits for a symbol will be shown under the corporate actions tab on the trading tile. This tab remains closed if there are no announced dividends or stock splits for your holdings.
Types of Corporate Actions:
Dividends
Dividends can be paid in cash or stock. To be entitled to a dividend, you must purchase the respective shares before the ex-date. To learn more, click here.
Dividends are typically credited to your Ustocktrade account within 1 to 2 business days after the payment date.
Forward splits
A forward split is when an issuer increases shares outstanding without a corresponding change in the value of the company. The number of shares you own will increase and price per share will decrease, while the value of your position will remain unchanged.
Reverse splits
A forward split is when an issuer decreases shares outstanding without a corresponding change in the value of the company. The number of shares you own will decrease and price per share will increase, while the value of your position will remain unchanged.
Ustocktrade does not support fractional shares, therefore, if you are due fractional shares after a reverse split, you will receive cash in lieu of your fractional share, if any.

Rights and warrants distributed by the issuer of any your holdings will be promptly credited to your account when received by our clearing firm.
